To equip parents for what's ahead
our missionYou’re a go-getter, a planner.
You took the birth-prep class(es) and had childcare setup before you changed your first diaper.
You’re invested in your family.
You started listening to podcasts on limiting screen time for teens before the first ultrasound.
You’re ready to focus on your wholeness.
Because you know that “self-improvement” and “self-care” are cliché terms, but critically important concepts.
you may be asking yourself
What is Wholeness?
Wholeness is honoring all the parts of you. The reliable friend, thoughtful daughter, dedicated employee, sudoku-enthusiast, margarita-loving you.
Wholeness is knowing that “parent” does not trump all. That a parent, or person who is self-less, read without self, is not serving their people or themselves.
Wholeness is the foundation of everything that we do. There is no magic formula or checklist for you to follow. But we have reliable information, passionate teachers, and a community ready to walk beside you on this journey.
Hi, I’m Erica,
I am a mom of 3 and the founder of And You. We create educational materials for parents who know that being their best parent means being their best self.
With degrees in biology, bioethics and neuroscience, I have researched addiction and stress at the NIH, published an algorithm on newborn screening, designed clinical trials for AstraZeneca, and written websites about nuclear medicine for Novartis.
I love science because I believe that when you understand what is happening (in your body/life/mind) and why (hormones/anxiety/lack of sleep/poor nutrition) you will gain the confidence to make the change and do the thing. For yourself, for your partner, for your family.
my mission
To give the you inside the parent the tools to be calm in the chaos and connected to their core.
I don’t believe in “thriving not surviving.” Some days you survive. Some days you thrive. Parenthood is not all unicorns and rainbows. Some days you will cry and you will fail. That is normal. That is good. Being a parent is hard because it is so important.

Alexandra Caspero
Registered Dietitian
I’m a mom of two living in St. Louis, Missouri. My love affair with food began at an early age, cooking alongside my mom in the family kitchen. Today, I am on a mission to share how delicious plant-rich foods can be and empower others to embrace a healthier lifestyle through the simple pleasure of good food.
When I’m not cooking, writing or teaching, I love to play with my kids, run, travel and read.
Jillian Aragon
Birth Doula, Ayurvedic Postpartum Care Specialist
I am the creator of DouLabour, with love. I’m a daughter, sister, friend, and forever learner— I also recently became a wife! I’m from Wisconsin but now live in Geneva, Switzerland. I have a Master’s in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law. I became interested in becoming a birth doula when I came to a proverbial fork in the road. I always hoped to find a career that supported both my passion for women’s and children’s rights and my deep respect for complementary and alternative health. A fitting way to achieve both my goals was to become and Ayurvedic Postpartum Care Specialist.
As well as all things birth, I’m a lover of dance, fall teas, essential oils, overdoing and celebrating all US holidays, and most recently taking care of my plant babies.
Clare Bhalla
Sophrologist, Postnatal yoga instructor
I live in a lovely village in Switzerland. Born in London and raised in Essex, I studied at Sheffield University and by 25 years of age, moved to Geneva for my love of mountains (you thought I was going to say love of a man didn’t you) and eventually love of a Swiss man too. I am now a proud mum of two wonderful small people.
I enjoy time with my family and friends. I like to practice Yoga and Sophrology, walk in nature, and the occasional ski, run, cycle and lake swim. I am passionate about the environment and love to explore. I frequently have a charity project on the go as I believe the world needs us all to give some kindness.
Julie Pernet
Pharmaceutical Doctor & Trichologist
I am a mother of two little girls, aged 3 and 6, living in Switzerland. My passion for work lies in helping my patients regain their confidence through personalized solutions for their hair problems. I love combining my knowledge of pharmacology with a holistic approach to hair health.
In my busy life, I always make time for my family and for practicing sports, which is a true breath of fresh air for me. Whether it’s an early morning yoga session, a run in the park, or a swimming class, physical activity is essential to my well-being.
Janie Schneider
Physical Therapist, specialized in Pregnancy and Postpartum, Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist
I’m a mom of two young girls living in Richmond, Virginia, where I run a physical therapy clinic together with my husband. I am most passionate about being able to help and guide patients to a better, pain free and more active life. Pain can severely impact someone’s entire life and having the chance to be their hope for a better future is something that I don’t take for granted.
I make time for my family. My daughters will only be young for so long. The laundry can wait. My husband and I are always together with our girls making memories for all of us.
Maria Chopivsky
Certified Nurse Midwife, perinatal nurse
I’m a mom of two living in South Salem, New York. What I love most about my job is that I have the privilege of empowering families through education and encouraging women to trust their inherent intuition. Birth & the postpartum period can be such a transformative process, and its sacred work to be able to usher women through this experience.
In my free time, I’m either spending time with my family, exploring a new city or new restaurant, or soaking in the bath with a good book!
Alexandra Chaffanjon
Sleep and Rest Coach for Women and Moms
I’m a mom of 2 and we are based in Switzerland. I love to make time for cooking, reading, learning, my health journey and all my self-care, sleep and rest rituals throughout the day and evening.
Amy Bizal
Yoga Instructor
I am a busy wife of 12 years to the most supportive man I know. We have 3 beautiful children Drake 9, Averi 7, and Leon 5. I grew up in a small town in Minnesota but have since moved closer to the city and love my balance of country and city life. I have been a stay at home mom for 8 years and in that time have built a passion for women’s mental and physical health, especially relating to pregnancy, postpartum, and even kid yoga. Along with teaching women how to connect, calm, and balance their lives, I am very passionate about pelvic floor health and how that can affect so much in our bodies.
My life can be a little hectic sometimes but I have found that embracing the chaos makes things go a lot smoother. It’s now my mission to pay that forward. When I’m not busy teaching adult yoga classes and kid yoga classes in daycares, I find time to be out in nature. Whether that be boating on the lake, kayaking, or fishing I also enjoy hiking and recently learned how to snowboard. I also enjoy a good book and some quiet time.
Emi Lehane
Personal Trainer, Pre/Postnatal Performance Training Specialist
I’m a mum of two children and one furbaby. I love seeing my clients get stronger and grow in confidence, reconnecting with their bodies. I feel honoured to be a part of this process. I’ve seen a few women rise like a phoenix during my time and it’s really one of the most inspiring things to witness! Seeing women who are struggling to justify making time for themselves but understanding how much better they feel for it is my constant reminder that movement is one of the foundations to wellness.
If I have any free time, I like to go for a walk, or a run, and this is also my favourite thing to do when I’m feeling stressed. You always feel better after a walk, no matter how long or short!

origin story
Is this normal?
In March 2023, I went out to dinner with three friends who are also expat mothers. Despite our best efforts, we ended up talking about our children and our births in particular.
Tucked in bed later that night, I couldn’t sleep. My mind was circling back through their stories and the unprocessed traumas that were still affecting our parenting, 5 years later.
The idea struck me. It was simple. A pamphlet called, “Is this normal?” that would be given to every woman after she gives birth. It would state what is happening to her body, what is normal and when to seek help.
Because it isn’t the experience itself that causes the trauma, but rather the lack of education and support surrounding the event that leaves a mark.
Since then, the idea hasn’t left my head, but it has evolved.
